TAMBO CENTRAL SCHOOL former know as ILIGAN CITY EAST CENTRAL SCHOOL is a school stands timed to train pupils and to induce their talents.
The school stood with the aim to bring the entire city to the pick of honors. ICECS was founded way back 1940's. It was named Tambo Community School, a primary school for the farmers' children. This had been a center of education in Tambo, Iligan City. As the population of the school grew, it's name was changed to Regioanl In-Service Educational Center, where new teachers from the Region 12 were sent in the school to observe and learn new trend and methodologies of teaching.Now, with the undying support and combined efforts of the school administrator and the Parent-Teacher Association to maintain competency and sustain the successful reputation of the school. From then on, the school is unstoppable. It excelled in almost all events she was in to.
Over years of its existence, ICECS had crafted professional to their own fields, with the excellence shared by the pilot teachers of ICECS namely, Mrs. Loreta Omalza, Mrs. Consolacion Aquino, Mrs.Lucrecia Baroro, and the new breed of teachers who are equipped with modern methods combined with the effective-traditional teaching, ICECS will continue to excel and soar to the tops of all events, not just in the City, but up to the International competitions, and continue crafting useful citizen who will soon be catalysts of change in the society.- Emailicecsmain@gmail.com

A brief profile of our city Iligan
Iligan City is located in Northeastern part of Mindanao facing Iligan Bay and the coordinates are 3˚29' North latitude and 124˚39' East longitude with the area about no less than 813.37 sq.km that comprise of 44 barangays.
We are located outside the typhoon belt and an earthquake free zone. We have rainfall throughout the year and don't have cold weather because we are situated on a tropical location.
We have a total population of 322,821 persons as of May 2010.
